A Few Things from Today

Okay, so I promised many that I would update my blog more, so I am really trying to do so!
With that in mind this is what happened over yesterday and today.

Yesterday, MJ was talking to Client B they were talking about a guy and how he owned a golf course. MJ said do you know why he owns a golf course? No, why? "So he can scream get it in the hole."

I also found a singing monkey statue in MJ's office when I was cleaning out one of his cabinets. I made sure to display that bad boy!! It makes me laugh every time I see it!!!

Today, MJ was FULL of ideas.
First he said, what if the hokey poky is what it is all about? Then, of course we had to share The Big Bang lines. We were thinking we needed to make our own "bug list" You wouldn't get that unless you watched the big bang last night!!!
Then he thought this summer we can have lunch time live with MJ! Instead of just lunch time live, where a band comes and plays outside. He would like just us to have a lunch time live with MJ and he can lecture us on things he knows!
We also have an attorney whose initials are J.Z. He said do you ever think of her as Jay-Z. As in the rap singer. This lady is FAR from Jay-Z.
I know there is more where that came from but I will have to wait and see if MJ remembers any good ones.

So Cold

I just wanted everyone to know that my boss, MJ, is pretty cool. Today, be brought us coffee back from Starbucks. Well, not without us asking. But anyways, that is pretty darn nice of him. Considering it is like -15 or something like that outside.
So, my day is pretty awesome, jamming to ice, ice baby, thanks to Megan's recommendations on Pandora and sipping my coffee! Not a bad day when it is so damn cold out!!! So cold, so cold (nice Vanilla Ice reference there)

Just a quick note

As I promised a few people, I am going to try to blog MORE about my days spent at Collins Law Office. Anyways, today my conversation with MJ was about which Spice Girl was/is his favorite. And then he proceeded to name them all. Not sure why or even how he remembers them all, but he had the line up down to a pat and his favorites in order! In case you were wondering, Posh is/was his favorite!

Today

So, MJ has been in a REALLY bad mood lately. Well I guess according to him it was only yesterday, but I don't agree with him.
But, today, he came in and told me "For future reference, I look good today."
So, in case you were wondering, MJ looks good today!

Not Good At This

Okay, so I realized I am not very good at this whole blogging thing. I am not sure if I just don't know how to keep up with it or the fact that I am always trying to do a million things at once. Or the fact that I just do not have enough time in a day to do it. I certainly don't have time to do it at work.

But I do have an oldie but goodie.

Just this week, MJ told me that myself and his wife are a lot alike. We are both pretty boring and in his words, vanilla cake. And we are both okay with that. But then he tells me, it is like vanilla cake, vanilla cake is good but it is better with a little cinnamon. I am like both of  yours cinnamon, adding a little spice to your life. OH MJ how you crack me up.  I just can't imagine my life with out my cinnamon in life.

I will try to get better at this, I promise, I will at least try to get better.

Slacking

Okay, so it appears that I have either been really busy or I just can't find the time to blog about the craziness of Collins Law Office. I am going to get better at it, I promise.

That means, I have LOTS to blog about and I am not sure even where to start. So I will just start at the beginning and go until I come to a stop and then end. That is what MJ always tells me when he gives me too much work and I say that I don't even know where to start. And yes, it is a reference to Alice in the Wonderland! 

So, here it goes. 

A few weeks ago (even though it seems like just last week) MJ had to have a little procedure on his foot. Well then he came in with this BOOT on his foot. He was all dressed up and ready for Court in Portage and had this UGLY boot on his foot!!! Anyways, he goes to Court, all his fine then decides to go home. Then I work from home the next day (since MJ is so wonderful to let me do that once a week) and he was fine. The next day I come in and he is sicker than a dog. He was sleeping on the floor in his office. So I got a blanket for him and was making him eat something because, oh yeah, that is right he took a pain pill and hadn't eaten anything since the day before. In case you didn't know, he does NOT do well with pain medication. When he had his back surgery a few years ago and I had just started at the office, he called me to come to his house to drop him off some files. I went there, talked to him, dropped the files off, met his mom and the next day he says "You were at my house" Yeah, he does not do well with  that he should have known better!! So of course for the next WEEK we had to drive him to and from Court. I am not sure what I was signing up for when I took this job but some days I really question what the heck my job description is. Because I am sure if I had one it would have the requirements to sing "Soft Kitty" to MJ. Yup, you guessed it, that was his other request while he was sick. That I sing him soft kitty. (In case you didn't know, that is from the BIG BANG THEORY, which we LOVE that show). So, I told him I didn't know all the words, he said that was okay, I could just sing a long. So, here is is MJ.

Lazy kitty, pretty kitty

I know there is more where that came from, but I can't find my list, so until I find it and until next time.

Craziness of Last Week

Well, it has been a crazy week already and last week was, well you guessed it, crazy! But I actually have some funny things that happened and I have been making little note son my desk when MJ says or does something CRAZY!

MJ said a few of the following:

He bought Megan and I these paper weights and they glow in the dark. He randomly game up to me and asked "Have you ever taken your paper weight into the closet and watched it glow?" Um, no. But I asked if he ever had and he said, well maybe!! For one who thinks of that and for two who does that?

MJ also thinks he could be the geezer spice, you know one of the spice girls!! I told him I didn't think there was a geezer spice, but he said he could be the first one!

He also came in and said "I am not balding, I just have flesh colored hair." He thought that would be a good line. To use on WHO? Margaret already knows you are blad!!! :)

I went into his office to tell him about something and I must have been being a smart a** because he said "BBBB, be good." He was going to use another word that started with B but decided he better just be nice to me and tell me to be good. OH, MJ, always thinking of others.

I am sure things will be nuts for the rest of the week and I don't know when I will be able to blog again. But he might have funny things to say tomorrow since he has a doctor appointment in the morning for his darn foot. So he will be complaining about his foot all day. :)

And just in case you didn't know, I LOVE my job and the craziness that comes with it.
